This show is very good
I like watching this show because the kids' reactions are absolutely hilarious. It seems very realistic, and I like being able to hear the stories of the different inmates. Someday when I have children, I'll be able to scare them just by making them watch this show.
Sometimes, a mind shock is better than a Taser!
Exposing these unruly youths to the sad life they will be facing has some benefit. True, this program is not 100% effective. No program is, but since the 1970's Scared Straight has been making a difference. I hate that in this era, the program has been somewhat watered down for fears of child abuse accusations. It is not abuse, it is salvation.
This program delivers two redeeming perspectives. The flip side of seeing kids make a decision to leave crime behind and act right is seeing convicts go above and beyond to educate and motivate kids. Some stories are heartbreaking, some inspirational.

As mentioned I've only purchased just the one episode and I loved it. I love the fact that PD's across the states are implementing this program as way of helping today's troubled youth. The days of kids playing hide and go seek and cops and robbers are over, teens are growing up fast and with that making detrimental decisions that need correcting! Show is great a must see for those who have not! Viewer descretion is advised for >13
