A Vibrant Series For The Very Young (Ages 1-3): Two New DVDs, But Some Repeat Content If You Own Earlier Releases
The Wheels on the Bus franchise has a product line especially designed for very young children. With vibrant colors, over-the-top characters, and plenty of original music (as well as the omnipresent Wheels on the Bus tune), I must say that the various available adventures seem to captivate the kids. Generally recommended for ages 1-5, I really think this skews even younger (perhaps from the 1-3 range being optimal). Being designed for the extremely young, the DVDs have a great replay value and your kids will want to see them over and over again. But I'm warning you, that's not necessarily a good thing for adults who will quickly weary of these adventures. I don't mean that as a deterrent. I once had to watch the original "Mary Poppins" thirty times in about thirty days! It's an awesome movie, to be sure, but repetition does not make the heart grow fonder even with the classics.
