Love it!
I love this series. I caught it once or twice on a Friday night and was always glued to the TV set. Now, I can watch the whole series in its entirety. I am fascinated by it because it reminds me that you cant trust anything in this world. It reinforces to me the benefits of investing all that I am into Jesus Christ because He has proven to me that unlike this world, His plans are to better me. There has been plenty episodes of frauds in the name of Christ but the abuse of God's message propitiated by individuals should not be utilized to taint God's truth. Unfortunately, people cannot be trusted because we might start with good intentions but we change. I can't judge these scammers and say ugh, how could they? They too are victims of the spirit of greed which robbed them of their freedom. We are all guilty of greed because we often are too concerned with bettering ourselves, and step on each other to achieve this. So this series helps me remember the dangers of this kind of mindset.

Great Series
Love these true crime stories, our first download purchase after cutting DirecTV's cord. My wife even likes them, she can't watch the mostly mayhem stuff.

One of the Saddest Episodes Yet
I'm a big fan of the American Greed series. My wife and I watch them weekly, and always kind-of feel sorry for the victims, because in most cases, its people getting greedy with extra money they have laying around. In this particular episode though, families in Hawaii leveraged property/land that had been in their families for generations...property that they for sure could not afford in today's market. They too got fooled, and in one case, siblings, cousins, and other relatives all fell for the same scam. What was really sad in this episode however, was that The Prisoner of Wall Street was able to bribe not one, but two prison officials in two separate prisons to have use of cell phone/laptop to continue his scam while inside the prison walls. If anything, I would think both prison officials should be try for the crimes that were committed because of their negligence.
